The Aymara Señorio model has been used as a general framework to understand several organizational aspects and levels of Andean Late Intermediate period societies (AD 1100-1450). This research challenges this ethnohistoric construct with archaeological data collected through a systematic full coverage survey. The results offer a perspective on the socio-political trajectory, leadership, centralization and demography of societies living at the southern Altiplano.
